Luggage Forward provides shipping tags for all luggage and pouches for boxes and trunks. These are sent to your address ahead of your scheduled pickup date via postal service or one of our carrier partners, such as FedEx or DHL.
How to attach your tags
Tags must be firmly and securely fastened using the method provided in your packet. Tags applied with tape, placed in plastic bags, or attached by any improvised method are not acceptable and void the Double Money-Back Guarantee. The weight listed on your tag
The weight shown on your shipping tag reflects the average shipping weight for the luggage category selected during booking — not the actual weight of your bag. You may pack up to the maximum weight permitted for your chosen category.
All bags are weighed and measured multiple times throughout the shipping process. If your bag exceeds the dimensions or weight of the category booked, Luggage Forward reserves the right to rebill for the difference after delivery. Shipping service will not be interrupted — we will contact you after delivery to advise of any amount owed.
Matching tags to bags
Each tag in your packet is assigned to a specific bag in your booking. If you are shipping multiple bags, ensure each tag is matched to its corresponding bag before pickup. Mismatched tags increase the risk of unnecessary price adjustments and can create complications during transit.
The phone number on your tag
If the phone number on your shipping tag is not one you recognize, there is no cause for concern. Luggage Forward's phone number is placed on every label so that hotels, carriers, and logistics partners can contact us directly if a question arises during transit — rather than interrupting your journey. This is one of the ways we manage your shipment on your behalf throughout the process.
The tracking number on your tag
Your tag includes a carrier tracking number that corresponds to your shipment. This is the number that will be active in your tracking once your bags have been collected and scanned into the carrier network. For more detail on how to track your shipment, see our article: How Do I Track My Luggage?
If your tags have not arrived
If your pickup date is approaching and you have not received your label packet, contact our Client Experience Team as soon as possible at +1 617-482-1100 or support@luggageforward.com. A Client Experience Representative will arrange for tags to be resent or advise on the appropriate next step, which may include drop-off at a carrier location.
