Yes. Luggage Forward ships boxes of all types alongside luggage, sports equipment, and other personal items. Whether you are sending a care package, shipping personal effects, or forwarding items to your next destination, boxes are a welcome shipment type.
Types of boxes accepted
Luggage Forward accepts most standard box types, including:
- Cardboard shipping boxes
- Reinforced or double-walled boxes
- Specialty boxes for fragile or high-value contents
- Pre-packaged boxes from retail or other shippers
Packaging requirements
Boxes must be properly sealed and structurally sound for transit. A box that is overpacked, under packed, or insufficiently sealed is more likely to be damaged during handling. We recommend:
- Using a sturdy, appropriately sized box for your contents
- Filling empty space with packing material to prevent shifting
- Sealing all seams with pressure-sensitive packing tape
- Ensuring no contents protrude or cause the box to bulge
How boxes are priced

Labeling boxes
Box surfaces allow for secure label adhesion, making them well-suited for printed Luggage Forward or carrier-issued labels. All boxes must be labeled using an approved Luggage Forward printed label packet or carrier-issued tags.
Items that cannot be shipped
Certain items are classified as Disallowed Goods and cannot be accepted regardless of how they are packaged. We recommend reviewing the Disallowed Goods list before booking if you have any questions about the contents of your box. Please see our Terms of Service for a more through list of what cannot be shipped.
Plastic Bins
Plastic bins or tubs used for storage cannot be shipped (i.e. Rubbermaid bins). We may send corrugated (cardboard) boxes, trunks, and hard-sided pelican cases. We suggest a double-walled shipping box or similar.
