Luggage Forward ships a wide range of personal items and equipment. Below is a guide to accepted item types, category dimensions, and items that cannot be shipped.
Luggage
We specialize in shipping luggage of all types and sizes. Pack as you normally would when checking bags with an airline, taking extra care with fragile items. Our booking process uses straightforward luggage categories that eliminate the need for precise weighing and measuring. A bag size calculator is available on our website to help identify the most appropriate category for your bags.
Please note that if a bag is significantly overweight or outside of category dimensions, Luggage Forward reserves the right to rebill for the difference after delivery. Shipping service will not be interrupted — we will contact you after delivery to advise of any additional amount owed.
Golf clubs
Golf clubs must be boxed or placed in a covered travel case for collection. Two categories are available:
Standard Golf Bag Maximum weight: 45 lbs / 18 kg Maximum dimensions: 50x12x10 in / 127x30x25 cm
Large Golf Bag Maximum weight: 55 lbs / 22 kg Maximum dimensions: 52x15x12 in / 132x38x30 cm
If you are unsure which category applies, book the smaller of the two. Weight overages do not interrupt shipping service and can be reconciled after delivery.
Skis and snowboards
Skis and snowboards are shipped in their travel case with no additional packing required. Two categories are available:
Single Ski / Snowboard Bag Maximum weight: 25 lbs / 11 kg Maximum dimensions: 72x8x8 in / 182x20x20 cm (ski bag) | 62x14x6 in / 157x35x15 cm (snowboard bag)
Double Ski / Snowboard Bag Maximum weight: 40 lbs / 18 kg Maximum dimensions: 80x10x10 in / 203x25x25 cm (ski bag) | 70x14x10 in / 177x35x25 cm (snowboard bag)
Ski and snowboard boots must be packed separately in a boot bag, which typically falls under our small bag category and should be booked as an additional item.
Bikes
Bikes must be fully dismantled and packaged in a corrugated box or hard travel case prior to collection. If you do not have suitable packaging available, we recommend having your bicycle professionally packed at a local bike shop. Luggage Forward can arrange collection directly from the shop, so there is no need to transport the bike yourself once it is packed.

Items that cannot be shipped
Certain items are prohibited from all Luggage Forward shipments. The following are among the most common items that cannot be included in your luggage:
- Medication, including over-the-counter medicines and vitamins
- Pressurized containers, including aerosols and CO2 cartridges
- Perfume and cologne, or any items with high alcohol content
- Food and alcohol
- Hand sanitizer
- Valuables
- Electronics
- Lithium-based batteries
For international shipments, additional items may be restricted by customs on a country-specific basis. A full list of disallowed items is available in our Packing Guide and will also be provided at the time of booking.
Please be aware that violations of Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Parts 100–185) may result in civil penalties of up to $75,000 per violation, or $175,000 if the violation results in severe injury or substantial property damage.
