Luggage Forward picks up directly from your door. There is no need to visit a carrier facility or drop-off point. Doorstep pickup is included in all-inclusive pricing at no additional cost.
Pickup can be arranged from virtually any location, including private residences, apartments, hotels and resorts, offices, cruise ships, and golf courses. The sections below outline what to expect for each location type.
Single family residence
The driver will collect from your front door. If you need to leave before your pickup window, bags may be left on your front porch or doorstep with Luggage Forward shipping tags firmly attached, if you feel comfortable doing so. You will receive an email notification once collection has been confirmed by our carrier partner.
Apartment
The driver will ring the bell or buzzer associated with your unit. If your building has a doorman or concierge, please bring your bags there for the driver to collect. If your building has a dedicated shipping and receiving area, the driver will attempt collection there.
Gated community or large building
In gated communities, dormitories, and large apartment complexes, our carrier partner may not have access to your front door. In these cases, please plan to meet the driver at an accessible location or leave your bags somewhere the driver can reach. Luggage Forward partners with carriers such as FedEx and DHL, whose drivers will follow standard access protocols for your community.
Hotel or resort
Your itinerary and shipping labels will indicate the designated pickup location at your hotel. The driver will collect from the front desk or concierge. If the property has a dedicated shipping and receiving area, the driver will attempt collection there.
Our team contacts the hotel prior to collection to confirm that bags are placed in the appropriate area for pickup. That said, we recommend checking with the hotel directly when bringing bags down to ensure everything is in order.
Please note that while Luggage Forward's pricing is all-inclusive, some hotels and resorts charge their own handling or holding fees for luggage. These fees are separate from your Luggage Forward shipment and are payable directly to the property.
Office or business
The driver will go to the shipping and receiving area of your building. If no such area exists, the driver will collect from the reception desk of your office suite.
Cruise ship
