No. You do not need to be present when your driver arrives. Many Luggage Forward clients choose to leave their bags in a secure, accessible location rather than waiting at home during the pickup window.
Leaving your bags for collection
If you will not be home during your pickup window, leave your bags in a location the driver can easily access with your Luggage Forward shipping tags firmly and securely attached. Include any relevant access instructions in your booking details so the driver knows exactly where to collect.
For location-specific guidance — including instructions for apartments, hotels, gated communities, and other property types — see our article: Where Do You Pick Up Luggage?
Ensuring your tags are secure
Before leaving your bags unattended for collection, confirm that your shipping tags are properly and firmly attached. Tags that are not securely applied increase the risk of label separation during transit and void the Double Money-Back Guarantee. Labels should never be applied with tape, placed in plastic bags, or attached by any improvised method. For more detail, see our article: Why Does My Booking Show As a Drop Off?
Confirmation of pickup
You will receive an email notification once your bags have been successfully collected and scanned into the carrier network. If you do not receive a confirmation within a few hours of your pickup window closing, check your tracking or contact our Client Experience Team to confirm collection occurred.
