How does COVID-19 affect shipping?
Luggage Forward continues to operate at full capacity. We have implemented our remote workplace plan for the safety of our team, who are available to assist with your luggage shipping needs.
Our global carrier network is operational worldwide and working within any guidance, safety protocols or other government restrictions, which may impact the deliverability of a small number of shipments. Effective March 26, 2020 and until further notice, we have suspended our on-time guarantee for all shipments.
Is a Signature Required for Delivery?
A signature should be required for most international shipments. However, it is ultimately up to the driver's discretion. You may leave a signed note on the door or contact us to have luggage left out front in your absence.
A signature is not required for most domestic shipments. If the driver feels the address is safe to leave in your absence, they most likely will. We may require a signature for delivery if advised at the time of booking (additional fee applies). Simply contact us and one of our forwarding specialists will gladly assist.
Can't be home for Pickup or Delivery?
Many of our clients don't wait at home for the pickup or delivery. You can leave your luggage for pickup in a safe location. If you don't plan to be in town when the luggage is scheduled for delivery, we recommend having the luggage delivered to a neighbor or a local business that would be able to hold onto the luggage until your arrival.
