What are the details on my luggage tags?
We provide luggage tags or pouches (for boxes/trunks) ahead of the scheduled pick up date. These are mailed via the postal service or one of our partnered shippers (like FedEx or DHL).

Why is the weight on my bag wrong?
The luggage tags you received show the average shipping weight for the corresponding luggage category. You can pack up to the maximum weight for the luggage category that was selected during the booking process. All bags are weighed and measured multiple times throughout the shipping process and we will get an accurate report of the actual weight and dimensions of the bags.
If you are shipping multiple bags please ensure tags are correctly matched with their corresponding bag to minimize the risk of unnecessary price adjustments.
Size & Weight
Our shipping partners use both size and weight to determine pricing. Their complicated formulas make shipping difficult, so we use logical categories to simplify the luggage shipping process. As long as you're not packing rocks in your suitcase, you shouldn't need to worry about the weighing and measuring your luggage.
What is the phone number on my tag(s)?
Don't worry if your luggage tag has a phone number you don't recognize. Our system often generates shipping labels with one of Luggage Forward's phone numbers. We put our number on the label to ensure that anyone handling the bag during the shipping process can contacts us directly, instead of interrupting you.
Peace of mind
We are always thinking about your luggage so you don't need to. Fielding calls from hotels and logistics partners on your behalf is one of the ways Luggage Forward helps make your life a little easier!
