Yes. Every Luggage Forward shipment includes $500 of Value Protection coverage for every piece of luggage that is shipped. Additional Value Protection is available for purchase at checkout for items of higher value, or can be added to already booked trips that have not yet begun.
Standard coverage
All shipments include a base level of coverage at no additional cost. This provides protection in the event your bags are lost or damaged during transit.
Value Protection
Value Protection allows you to declare a higher value for your shipment and receive coverage commensurate with that declared amount. It is purchased at the time of booking and is the recommended option for shipments containing valuable clothing, equipment, gifts, or personal items.
If a covered item is lost, the maximum reimbursement is the greater of the Double Money-Back Guarantee amount or the Value Protection purchased at checkout, whichever is higher. Purchasing appropriate Value Protection is the most effective way to ensure your shipment is fully protected.
What is not covered
Certain items are excluded from coverage regardless of Value Protection level. These are referred to as Disallowed Goods and include items that cannot be accepted for shipment. If a shipment is found to contain Disallowed Goods, Value Protection and the Double Money-Back Guarantee are both void. Please refer to our Terms of Service for specifics.
